5 Days Per Week Sessions
As a team of teachers and a school that has provided early childhood education programs to the children of Lincoln and surrounding areas for the past 28 years we felt it was important to offer another option that will benefit the child that will be entering kindergarten the following year. We still feel that whether your child attends 2 day, 3 day, or a 5 day program the important factor is that they are attending a quality preschool before entering their formal school years.
Since 1990, education has changed drastically and so much is expected of the kindergarten child and beyond. This is evident when looking at the length of the school day, the curriculum that is presented, the age requirements for kindergarten entrance and the volume of calls that I receive requesting a 5 day program. Our goal is to provide an early childhood program that meets the needs of all children while providing more options for the families in our community.
Our 5 day program has a limited number of spots available each year.
WHO IS THE PROGRAM INTENDED FOR?
- the child that will go to kindergarten the next year
- the child that is enrolled in our school and another school so that they have a 5 day program all together. We feel that juggling 2 schools can sometimes be difficult for children to adapt to the differences between the schools. The continuity of 1 school and the same teachers is a plus.
- the child that finds themselves unable to attend kindergarten due to the recent change in age requirements.
- families that are desiring extra enrichment for their child that year before kindergarten.
If this sounds like something that you would like more information on, or if you wish to sign up, please contact Jan Christensen as soon as possible as we are limiting it to 10 children in the morning session and 10 in the afternoon session.
